Description

Data Curation Experts will lead a four-day Samvera Camp hosted by Duke University from Monday, September 24th through Thursday, September 27th, 2018. Samvera Camp is open to all developers interested in building skills working with the Samvera technology stack. High-level course topics include:

  • Ruby, Rails, and collaborative development using Github
  • The Samvera framework including Fedora and Solr
  • Content and Metadata management
  • Introductory Blacklight including search and faceting
  • Advanced Topics and Participant Q&A

Camp will be led by Mark Bussey, Bess Sadler, and Carolyn Cole.

Camp will take place on the Duke University campus in the Perkins Library in room 217.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM CAMPUS

Hilton has a shuttle that runs between the hotel and campus every 30 minutes. See hotel staff for details. There is also a free shuttle between campus and downtown called the Bull City Connector. And Uber and Lyft are good options as well.
